Elizabeth Flock Confirms Resigning, Discovery Writer Talks About Story

Former Post reporter Elizabeth Flock
In an email to DC Porcupine, former Post reporter Elizabeth confirms that she resigned Friday over an attribution dispute involving a story on the Discovery Channel’s website. Flock writes that she was not fired or asked to resign, but instead “resigned freely.”
Flock’s resignation was first reported by sources to Jim Romenesko.
Meanwhile, Irene Klotz, the writer of the original Discovery story, writes in an email to DC Porcupine that the Post responded quickly to Flock’s post.
“I think that the Post was very quick to acknowledge the incident and make a correction,” Klotz writes.
For clarity: I used the term “attribution dispute” to characterize the incident that led up to Flock’s resignation, based on what is known about it now, not Flock.
